Students at Arabia Mountain High School and Murphey Candler Elementary School were transported to other DeKalb County schools due to low water pressure.
A car accident on nearby Klondike Road caused the water shortage, DeKalb County School District spokesman Quinn Hudson said in a statement.
School officials transferred the students at 11:30 a.m. from Arabia Mountain to Miller Grove High school and Lithonia High School. Students from Murphey Candler were transferred to Salem Middle School.
Students were returned to their respective schools at the end of the day for normal pickup, Hudson said.
Parents and DeKalb County Police were notified of the situation at both schools.
