A DeKalb County fugitive wanted in connection with a 2009 murder was arrested last month in Miami, authorities said.
Kenneth Darnell Smith is believed to also be linked to a murder in Boston, and a double homicide in Los Angeles, and used several bogus identities over the years to avoid capture, U.S. Marshals Service officials said.
Members of the Florida Regional Fugitives Task Force found him at the Z Hotel on South Beach, authorities said.
Smith, 38, was extradited from Miami to Decatur last week and currently is being held in the DeKalb County Jail, according to federal officials and jail records.
