Gov. Nathan Deal has nominated a new leader for the Department of Human Services.
The governor said Friday that he wants Robyn Crittenden to succeed Keith Horton as commissioner of the deparment. Horton will become an assistant commissioner for the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Crittenden is the chief operating officer of the Georgia Student Finance Commission and previously the general counsel of Morehouse College and a Board of Regents assistant vice chancellor. She will take the new position in July, pending approval of the department’s board.
“Robyn brings with her years of experience that will allow her to confidently and effectively lead the department in its mission to empower Georgians through its services,” said Deal.
