Paulding County authorities have arrested three teenagers, including one juvenile, after more than 70 vehicles were damaged by baseball bats and rocks earlier this week, an official said Thursday.

The teens “aimlessly drove around the county throwing rocks at vehicles that were parked near or on the sides of streets in many subdivisions and on county roads,” police spokesman Sgt. Ashley Henson said.

“In one instance, they even threw a rock at one of our marked patrol cars while it was parked at the home of the deputy.”

Deputies arrested Kevin Patrick Miceli, 18, of Dallas, Tristan Keith, 18, of Hiram, and a 16-year-old boy from Dallas, Henson said. The suspects were charged with multiple counts of second-degree criminal damage to property.

The events happened Tuesday night and continued into Wednesday morning.

“I credit the quick arrest of these vandals to our dedicated deputies and detectives,” Sheriff Gary Gulledge said. “I also want to commend our citizens for being vigilant and sharing home surveillance footage with detectives.

“Without the home surveillance footage and the deputies’ and detectives’ relentless desire to solve these crimes, we would not have made an arrest so quickly in this case.”

A YouTube video that accompanied the sheriff’s Facebook post on the incidents shows the suspects, officials said.

Victims are still coming forward, Henson said. Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call detectives at 770-443-3015.
