Police are seeking two women in connection with the theft of about $6,000 in Chanel perfume from a store at Ponce City Market.

According to police, the manager of Sephora said she saw two women come into the store about 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 4.

One of the women faked an injury to distract from the other woman, who took the perfume and put it into her purse, according to the police incident report.

The women left the store about three minutes after they entered, police said.

Surveillance cameras in the store captured both women in the incident.
