A Chicago businessman hooked up with a 16-year-old girl in Alpharetta through an app and made a trip from his downtown hotel to meet her, Channel 2 Action News reported.

But Matthew Rosen found police waiting for him when he arrived, the station reported.

Calling it entrapment, Rosen’s attorney said he thinks the case will be dropped.

Police say Rosen texted with the teen earlier this month via an online app called Pure, and eventually sent her lewd photos and asked her to send him some, Channel 2 reported.

The girl’s father caught onto the texting and had police pose as the teen to try to solve the case, the station reported.

Rosen’s attorney, Bernard Brody, said sending and soliciting the photos is what got him arrested, Channel 2 reported. Brody said the girl didn’t disclose she was 16 until after his client sent and received the photos.

“He thought she was at least 18, because No. 1, she represented that by using the app,” Brody said, “and I believe it's clear from the dialogue going back and forth that she appeared to be much older.”

Alpharetta police defended their actions.
