A man wanted in the shooting death of a 24-year-old Middle Georgia man was arrested at a motel in northeast Atlanta, according to authorities.

Anterrio Tremaine Stinson, 25, was arrested about 8 a.m. Wednesday at a Motel 6 near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, the Macon Telegraph reported.

U.S. Marshals forced their way into the room when Stinson wouldn’t open the door, according to the newspaper.

Stinson was taken to the Bibb County jail on charges of murder and aggravated assault. He is also charged with violating probation.

Stinson allegedly shot to death Jonathan Risby on Nov. 17.

The suspect was sentenced in January 2016 to five years of probation as a first offender after he was indicted for aggravated assault and home invasion, according to Bibb County court records.
