Gwinnett County police are seeking two “armed and dangerous” men in connection with the shooting death of a man late Friday, an officer said.

Shortly before 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the Valero station in the 1700 block of Beaver Ruin Road in unincorporated Norcross, Cpl. Frederick Saldana said.

A man, identified as Vitali Mialik, 34, of Suwanee, was found in the parking lot with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Saldana said.

Mialik went to the station to buy items from the store, and while he was there, an SUV carrying the men arrived, Saldana said.

The men went into the store, Saldana said. The alleged shooter was recorded by surveillance cameras, and the other man was not recorded.

The men got into an argument with the victim in the parking lot when the men left the store, Saldana said. The argument escalated, and the driver got an assault rifle from the SUV and shot the victim. The men then drove away.

The alleged shooter is described as 18-25 years old, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet, with a slim build and weighing 150 to 170 pounds.

The other man is described as 18-25 and of average height and build.

The SUV is described as white or silver, possibly a Toyota 4Runner, Saldana said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 770-513-5300.
