A Powder Springs man is in jail after authorities accused him of molesting a child and holding a saw blade against a woman’s throat while threatening to kill her.

Lonnie Steve Williams, 37, faces several felony charges, including child molestation and aggravated assault, in connection with the incidents, jail records show.

The alleged incidents all took place between June 1 and June 5, according to Cobb County arrest warrants. According to one of the warrants, in that five-day period, Williams lured a minor to Wild Horse Creek Park and molested her.

Williams allegedly dropped his pants on the trail and exposed himself to the girl, who was under the age of 16, according to the warrant. He also allegedly made “physical contact with the intimate parts of the body” of the juvenile girl and asked her to go “skinny dipping” with him, the warrant said.

A separate warrant accuses Williams of putting a woman in a choke hold and threatening to kill her. The alleged incident happened June 3. During the verbal altercation, Williams grabbed the woman from behind, picked her up from the chair she was sitting in and pushed her against a wall, according to the warrant. Then, he grabbed a black hacksaw and held it against her throat, the warrant said. He threatened to kill her, and the saw cut into the woman’s throat, according to the warrant. At some point, Williams got on top of the woman and threatened her with a sterling silver bowl, according to the warrant.

In addition to the child molestation and aggravated assault charges, Williams faces one count of enticing a child, one count of sexual battery and one count of battery. He is being held in the Cobb County jail without bond.
