A 10-month investigation resulted in drug distribution and gun charges against 48 people in northwest Georgia, officials said this week.

Called “Operation Spring Clean,” the investigation concentrated on methamphetamine distribution, Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston said in northwestgeorgianews.com.

About 5 pounds of meth valued at more than $112,000 and several illegally held firearms were seized, the website reported.

All but 10 of the people charged are in custody, according to the report.
