Marietta man opens fire when he thinks someone broke into home

Feb 3, 2017A Marietta man who suspected someone was in his home Thursday opened fire inside the house, police said.
Officers blocked off Durham Street near Whitlock Avenue about 5 p.m. and warned residents to avoid the area.
Police told Channel 2 Action News a man returned home and thought someone was inside. He then opened fire.
Officers responded to Durham St ref. possible home invasion/shots fired. No intruder was located at the home and caller was not injured.

SWAT officials searched the house and the surrounding area. No intruder was found and no injuries were reported.
Traffic on Whitlock Avenue was not affected.
