Atlanta police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a man in Midtown last July, officials announced Thursday.

Officers arrested Antonio Evans, 42, in connection with the death of Christopher Morris, a 41-year-old man found shot in the head in the kitchen of his Myrtle Street home July 30, police said in a statement.

Police believe Evans knew Morris, and said the homicide was drug-related.

Evans was one of four people that Atlanta police wanted to interview two weeks after Morris’ death. It is unclear whether police questioned him before his arrest.

He faces charges of murder and being a fugitive from justice out of Orange County, Florida. Details about that charge were not immediately available.

He was denied bond at a first appearance hearing Thursday, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said.
