A 22-year-old man accused of posing as deputy and assaulting a victim was denied bond Tuesday afternoon in Clayton County. That will make it difficult for him to appear in court Thursday in DeKalb County, where he faces similar charges, court records show.

Andre Pearre Walker, of Marietta, was arrested Monday in Forest Park without incident, according to Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill. Walker was charged with aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and impersonating an officer and booked into the Clayton County jail Monday afternoon, booking records show.

Walker allegedly told a man he was a sheriff’s deputy and needed to search him for drugs after picking him up on Tara Boulevard, Clayton County police told Channel 2 Action News. Walker then allegedly sexually assaulted the man in the backseat of the car, police said.

The man was able to get a tag number, and investigators linked the vehicle to Walker’s mother, according to Channel 2. But Walker’s mother told police she was in the hospital at the time of the alleged assault, and that her son had her vehicle.

An arrest warrant was issued for Walker on July 8, but he eluded capture for a week, according to police. At the time of his arrest in Clayton County, Walker was released on bond from the DeKalb County jail on similar charges, court records show.

Walker was scheduled to be arraigned on sodomy and false imprisonment charges stemming from a September 2011 arrest.
