Cops: 2 sought after man shoots Atlanta convenience store clerk over cigarettes

Shortly after a woman was told she could not buy cigarettes from an Atlanta convenience store, police say the man she was with shot the clerk who refused to make the transaction.
Atlanta police are looking for the two suspects involved in the aggravated assault, which happened at the Food Mart convenience store in the 1400 block of Venetian Drive on Oct. 31, investigators said in a Facebook post.
When the woman tried to buy the cigarettes, the clerk told her he would need to see her identification before making the sale, the post said. She became upset and knocked over a stand of packaged food, officials said.
The woman ran away from the store, and the clerk briefly chased after her. However, she returned moments later with a man armed with a gun, the post said.
The man fired, hitting the store clerk. He and the woman then ran from the scene, investigators said.
No arrests have been made in the case and police are working to identify the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta police.
