More than 30 organizations converge on the state Capitol on Wednesday for the “United Against Childhood Obesity” campaign. Government officials, business executives and non-profit leaders to discuss programs and initiatives aimed at putting children on the path to a healthier life. Georgia ranks 49th among the 50 states in childhood obesity, with 40 percent of its children, age 10-17, overweight or obese. Only Mississippi has a worse rate.
