Norcross police arrested five would-be burglars within a week, thanks to alert neighbors.
In the first incident, neighbors called police after watching suspects taking TVs from a home, according to Lt. Bill Grogan. Three suspects were arrested for the Sept. 20 heist, Grogan said.
On Thursday, a citizen alerted an officer to a burglary in progress at a home in her neighborhood, according to police. Officers arrested two juveniles at the home.
Officers recently increased patrols in an area between Mitchell Road and North Norcross Tucker Road after an increase in residential burglaries, Grogan said.
