Hall County deputies are investigating the deaths of two children whose bodies were discovered Friday afternoon in a home east of Gainesville.

The siblings, a 5-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl, were found about 2 p.m. after deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in a house along Crescent Drive, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

When they arrived at the home, authorities made contact with a 26-year-old woman with serious injuries. She was taken to the hospital by Hall County firefighters. Investigators have not said whether the woman was related to the children.

“We also would like to assure the community that the incident is isolated to this location, and there is not a search for any suspects,” the department said in the release.

Additional details will be released as they become available, authorities said.
