When a man allegedly started firing into his neighbor’s Decatur home Sunday, the nine people inside had to crawl on the floor to avoid being hit, they told police.

David Quintavious Knight, 26, was arrested Wednesday on nine felony aggravated assault weapons charges.

Knight allegedly fired multiple shots from an AR-15 into the home on Emerald North Drive from a vehicle outside.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is still trying to determine the motive for the shooting.

Knight was arrested at another residence on the same street without incident and taken to the DeKalb County Jail, police said.
