2 dead in possible murder-suicide
Newton County officials are investigating a possible murder-suicide.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible murder-suicide in Covington early Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities responded to a call about person down and another threatening suicide about 12:50 p.m. on the 30 block of Pebblebrook Pass, Newton County sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Michael Cunningham said.
Officials who arrived on the scene found a man and woman dead, Cunningham said. Their relationship was not known.
No children were inside the home at the time of the incident.
