Athens-Clarke police arrested a man Monday wearing ill-fitting shorts and a rainbow-colored thong suspected of exposing himself to drivers on a roadway east of Athens.
Ismael Rodriguez, 24, of Winterville told the arresting officer he was just out for a walk early Monday morning on Robert Hardeman Road and did not admit to exposing himself, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.
He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and small green shorts at the time of his arrest.
“These shorts were incredibly short, and were so short that the lower half of his buttocks were exposed,” the officer wrote in an incident report the Banner-Herald obtained. Under his pants, Rodriguez also wore a rainbow-colored thong.
The officer found the man’s sweatpants and boxer shorts on a fire hydrant of the nearby mobile home park where Rodriguez lives.
He admitted he had been drinking, the report said.
Rodriguez was charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication, in addition to violating parole following a recent prison release. Rodriguez had previously served five years in prison for robbery, entering auto, and burglary, the Banner-Herald reported.
He is being held in Clarke County Jail.
