A crash involving eight vehicles shut down the Perimeter’s outer loop in Fulton County on Monday.

The incident took place shortly before 6 p.m. near Hollowell Parkway, according to the Georgia State Patrol. Traffic cameras showed that all southbound travel on the interstate was halted until about 6:30 p.m., when a left lane reopened. All lanes reopened a little before 7:30 p.m.

Troopers said that six people were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries. Their conditions were not provided, and it’s unclear what led to the crash.

At one point, delays spanned back to South Cobb Drive, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

The incident remains under investigation.
