A decomposed body was found Tuesday afternoon in southwest Atlanta, according to police.
The body was found in the area of Campbellton Road and Delowe Drive by someone walking in the area, according to Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police.
Investigators believe it is a man’s body, but his identity was not known late Tuesday.
“The overall crime scene does not indicate any foul play,” Capt. Paul Guerrucci with Atlanta police said. “But we can’t really rule out anything until the autopsy is completed.”
The autopsy will be conducted at the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
