2014: Hank Aaron relives his record-breaking 715th home run

The Braves' Hank Aaron hit his 715th career home run to pass Babe Ruth for baseball's most prestigious record on April 8, 1974. He achieved this while playing in Atlanta against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a game that saw the Braves win 7-4. Aaron went on to have 755 home runs in his career and held this honor for over three decades until Barry Bonds surpassed him in 2007. The AJC dug into archival images to show the baseball icon's past reflections as the Atlanta Braves celebrate the 50th anniversary of his historic 715th home run.
