Amazon surprises students with $40,000 college scholarship

Radio Host Kenny Burns moderated a panel of eight metro Atlanta students who thought they came to the Georgia World Congress Center Tuesday to talk about science technology engineering and math (STEM). Instead, each student was surprised with a $40,000 college scholarship paid for by Amazon. The company's Future Engineer program targets students in underserved communities who want to study a STEM field in college. The retailer says 21 Georgia students will receive the scholarship this year.
