Delta Air Lines is preparing for the storm expected to hit its largest hub at Hartsfield-Jackson International, with a plan to position employees at the airport overnight.

The Atlanta-based airline is booking hotel rooms Friday night for essential personnel to be in position early Saturday morning to help get flights in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson.

Delta gate agents and ramp agents will stay at the airport overnight, in a designated room with cots and air mattresses.

The airline also plans to use parked aircraft with lie-flat seats to accommodate more employees who need to sleep at the airport.

The company said it will “remain flexible” and work individually with those who prefer to work from home, according to Delta spokesman Michael Thomas.
