Roads in the western and northern parts of Paulding were the first to cause problems, Cpl. Ashley Henson said. An hour later, roads throughout the county were completely covered in snow and impassable.

Gold Mine, Brushy Mountain and Braswell Mountain roads were early trouble spots, Henson said. The county's DOT director said road conditions are deteriorating and urged people to stay off the roads.
