Henry County police Wednesday were investigating a home invasion near McDonough.

About 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, Henry police were dispatched to a home on Zachary’s Way, Capt. Joey Smith said in an emailed statement. The homeowners told police three masked individuals kicked in the back door of the residence, forced them into one area of the home and ransacked the place.

The suspects fled the home with cellphones, jewelry and some cash, Smith said.

"There were no serious injuries and there is no suspect vehicle description," he said. "This is a very active case and specific details cannot be released at this time."

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Henry County Police Department.
