At least 10 games involving Class AAAAAA teams have been postponed or canceled this weekend in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

It’s possible that more may be affected, but these are the ones that had been reported as of Wednesday night:

Bradwell Institute at Tattnall County: Postponed until Saturday

Brunswick at Camden County: Postponed until Saturday

Drew at Mount Zion-Jonesboro: Postponed until Saturday

East Jackson at Glynn Academy: Canceled

New Manchester at Mays: Postponed until Saturday

Northside-Warner Robins at Ware County: Postponed until Sept. 22

Statesboro at Effingham County: Postponed until Saturday

Stephens County at Habersham Central: Postponed until Saturday

Thomas County Central at Valdosta: Postponed until Sept. 29

University Christian, Fla. at Coffee: Canceled

The rest of the Class AAAAAA games will go on as scheduled, including the opening of region play in 6-AAAAAA and the first full weekend of region games in 4-AAAAAA. Here are some of the top games Friday involving AAAAAA teams in Week 5.

*Chattahoochee at North Atlanta (Lakewood Stadium): The winner of this game will have at least a share of first place in Region 7 after two weeks of play. Chattahoochee (2-1, 1-0) finished in fifth place last year, and North Atlanta went 0-8 in region play and finished in last place. North Atlanta is 3-0 for the first time since 2010 and is one of 10 remaining unbeaten teams in the classification.

*Dacula at West Forsyth: Dacula (1-2) faces a team from the highest classification for the third time in four games, losing to Central Gwinnett and Mill Creek in the first two weeks of the season. The Falcons beat AAAAA Arabia Mountain 9-0 last week. West Forsyth (2-1) was undefeated until losing to Hillgrove 42-20 after falling behind 28-0 early. West Forsyth beat Dacula 31-14 last year.

*Lovejoy at Stephenson (Hallford Stadium): Lovejoy (2-2, 1-0) brings a two-game losing streak into this key Region 4 matchup. Stephenson (1-2, 0-0) picked up its first win of the season last week, beating SW DeKalb 31-18. The winner will emerge as Tucker's top challenger for the region title. Lovejoy won 28-27 last season and finished in second place, one game ahead of the Jaguars.

*River Ridge at Harrison: River Ridge is 3-0 for just the second time in program history, and the Knights will find out quickly if they are up to the challenge in Region 6 when they meet fifth-ranked Harrison in the teams' region opener. Harrison is just 1-2 this season, but the losses came against the No. 1 team in AAAAA (Rome) and the fifth-ranked team in the highest class (North Cobb).

*Sequoyah at Creekview: If the Region 6 race goes the way it did last season (and the computer Maxwell Ratings project that it) – with Dalton, Harrison and Allatoona in the top three spots – then that likely leaves the Cherokee schools (River Ridge, Sequoyah and Creekview) fighting for one playoff berth. A head-to-head loss in the first game of region play would be a tough one to overcome.
