There were four boys region championship games in Class AAAAAA on Tuesday night, and three went to overtime – Wheeler beat Walton in Region 5, Alpharetta beat Lambert in Region 6 and Douglas County beat Newnan in Region 3.

The fourth one – Luella over Newton in Region 2 – was pretty close, too. Luella came from four down in the final six minutes to win 40-36.

But in our top story, South Cobb defeated eighth-ranked Hillgrove to continue perhaps the most remarkable post-season run of any team in the state.

Below is a look at how each region tournament is going, or went.

Also check out the Class AAAAAA first-round matchups, as most this weekend's games have been set.

Region 1 – Finished on Friday. Won by Tift County's boys and Lowndes' girls. Brunswick's boys, the No. 2 seed, gets a home first-round game against fourth-ranked Westlake, the third-place finisher in Region 3.
