Three tractor-trailers jackknifed Friday morning in Union City in a crash that entangled multiple vehicles and backed up I-85 traffic for hours.
The crash was reported about 8:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes just past I-285, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. Authorities shut down the lanes between I-285 and Flat Shoals Road for two hours while they investigated, finally allowing some traffic to pass at 10:30 a.m.
Severe delays remained for the rest of the morning, the Traffic Center reported.
