The good news is that the weather outside is perfect. At 72 degrees in Atlanta, today’s temperature is a full 10 degrees warmer than it was Tuesday, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.
The bad news is that the higher temperatures are expected to push up pollen levels the next few days. Wednesday’s count was 1,501, up from 886 on Tuesday, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma. That’s back in the extremely high range.

By the time of the first pitch for tonight’s game between the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs at SunTrust Park, temps should still be in the 70s, according to Channel 2.

“It is going to be really nice,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said. “Now Monday was a little cool out at SunTrust Park. We had temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Today we’re going to be in the 70s and then gradually sinking back to the 60s.”
Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.
Monahan said he is watching a system brewing to the west that could bring rain and clouds to North Georgia on Thursday.

“You’ll notice the clouds increase tomorrow afternoon,” Monahan said. “And then the showers start to build in Thursday night into Friday.”
According to the latest forecast, a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday increases to 80 percent Friday before dropping to 40 percent Saturday and Sunday.
