It’s breezy now, but the wind is expected to die down soon.

Then comes temperatures in the 80s, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“Over the next week or so, (we are) kind of running the gauntlet of all kinds of weather across North Georgia,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

The temperature is up to 78 in Atlanta.

“The wind has been up,” Monahan said. “The breeze has been up, and now the temperatures are going to come up over the next few days.”

The high is expected to reach 79 Tuesday.

Highs are expected to hit 81 Wednesday, 83 Thursday and 84 Friday and Saturday, Channel 2 reported.

There is no rain in sight until Saturday, when there is a slim 20 percent chance.

The last time metro Atlanta had rain was Sept. 13, Monahan said.

A tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico could bring severe storms Sunday and Monday, when there is a 60 percent chance of rain.
