It’s time to pull out the umbrella.

Showers that fell across parts of metro Atlanta during the day will continue through the evening, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Rain chances have increased from 30 to 60 percent. There is a 40 percent chance of rain on Wednesday.

The sprinkles, however, won’t cool off the metro area.

Current temperatures are 62 degrees in Atlanta, 58 in Blairsville and 60 in Griffin.

Highs are expected to remain in the 70s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Channel 2 reported.

Of course, the heat means those with allergies may again have to deal with sniffling and watery eyes because of high pollen.

Pollen is caused by trees, grass and weeds and can aggravate the symptoms of people with allergies.

But one thing is certain: Things are not as bad as they were 24 hours ago when unseasonably warm weather pushed pollen levels in metro Atlanta to the highest ever recorded in February, according to Channel 2.

The pollen count dropped from a record-breaking 1,289 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air Monday to 387 Tuesday, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.
