It’s warm and dry now but that will change drastically this weekend as Tropical Storm Nate is expected to affect North Georgia and metro Atlanta.

A tropical storm watch was issued for the region Friday evening following reports Nate could bring gusty winds to metro Atlanta Saturday into Sunday and between 2 and 4 inches of rain early next week.

Tropical Storm Nate is expected to strengthen to a Category 1 hurricane, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Rain chances are expected to increase from 20 percent Saturday to 80 percent Sunday.

Wet weather chances won’t decrease until Tuesday when they are at 40 percent, Channel 2 reported.

Atlanta should stay in the 80s through then.
