Rain chance, pollen count down; temperatures rising

“You could not ask for a better Sunday afternoon,” Chanel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan says.

Metro Atlanta can expect a mostly sunny day with clear skies and a lower pollen count than we’ve seen recently, Monahan said.

Current temperatures are 75 degrees in Atlanta, 73 degrees in Blairsville and 78 degrees in LaGrange.

Humidity is low , Monahan said, and clouds high in the sky aren’t threatening any rain.

By Tuesday night when a weakening front approaches, Monahan said, there are no storms and not much chance of rain.

Temperatures through the week are expected to be in the upper 70s and on Thursday the high is in the low 80s, according to the Channel 2 Action News five-day forecast.
