Expect the dry, sunny weather to continue at least through mid-week.
“Rain chances are going to stay pretty low for this time of year,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
“A couple little showers” popped up earlier in the North Georgia mountains, but have since subsided.
Atlanta has held steady in the upper-80s, with temperatures topping out at 88 degrees, according to Channel 2.
“For the most part, we are going to keep things dry and warm through the early part of the evening,” Monahan said.
Looking at satellite, it matches up with what could be a little shower in south Gilmer County. Everyone else dry... was questioning whether it may be some smoke for a second. pic.twitter.com/sAiX6YYFZG

While metro Atlanta will enjoy clear skies for the evening, traffic woes will likely persist.
Delays remain on Ga. 400 near I-285 after an accident involving a Georgia Department of Transportation contractor, officials said.

GDOT spokeswoman Natalie Dale said the injured man was working on the I-285/Ga. 400 project at the time. The exit ramp to I-285 in the area is closed, Sandy Springs police said in a Twitter post.
A gas leak in the intersection of 5th and West Peachtree streets has both roads shut down, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
Officials have not given an estimated time for road reopenings in either incident.

Most of the rest of the week should be nice and dry thanks to a cold front over central Georgia, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said. There’s no rain in the forecast until Thursday, which has a low 30 percent chance of isolated storms in the afternoon and evening.
“The air is a bit drier, and as that dry air settles in place, it’s going to cut down on any opportunity for showers or storms,” Minton said. “So plenty of sunshine, a few clouds out there during the day, but no rain.”

Afternoon showers and storms should return this weekend, Minton said. Storms are likely with a 60 percent chance of rain Friday. Saturday and Sunday each have a 40 percent chance of scattered storms.
More than 43 inches of rain has fallen in Atlanta this year, according to Channel 2. The average is 31.42 inches.
