The clouds from Harvey didn’t keep Atlanta temperatures down too much.
Currently, the temperature in Atlanta is 81 degrees after a daytime high of 84, Channel 2 Action News reported.
There were no sign of showers, but that could change with rains from Harvey headed to the metro area.
There is a 70 percent chance of rain for the next two days but it shouldn’t be too severe, Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said. Downpours should hit the metro area about noon Wednesday and pick up from there.
“It won’t be a total rainout,” Nitz said, “but we will see periods of occasional rain and rumbles of thunder.”
Harvey is expected to move from Texas and make landfall in Louisiana late Tuesday evening before heading to Alabama on Wednesday, Channel 2 reported.

Over the weekend, the chance of wet weather drops to 40 percent with highs in the 80s.
“By the weekend, remnants of Harvey will pass to the north and there could be a few stray showers,” Nitz said.
Atlanta should enjoy a cloudy but dry night with lows in the upper 70s, according to Channel 2. Wednesday’s wakeup weather will be in the 70s, with a high expected of 77 degrees.
