Metro Atlanta is in for another weekend of mixed weather. Saturday should feature enjoyable spring conditions, but things will begin changing later in the day.

Then, well, keep the rain gear handy, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“A beautiful start to the day,” meteorologist Katie Walls said Saturday morning. “In the second half of the day, more clouds will be creeping in.”

Saturday’s temp (71 about 4:50 p.m.) should hit a high of 72. That’s a couple of degrees below average for the date and above Friday’s high of 68. There’s no rain in the forecast.

However, rain should begin falling Sunday morning and settle in for the rest of the day and into the work week. There’s a 70 percent chance.

Walls said the rain should be scattered early Sunday and become steadier as the day goes on.

“The most consistent rainfall will be arriving in the evening,” she said.

“Widespread rain showers will affect the Monday commute.”

The silver lining to all the rain: It should keep the pollen level low.

Saturday’s pollen count is at 390, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma. That’s still high but well below Friday’s figure of 2,261.

The season high is 5,354.
