It’s comfortable in Atlanta now, but expect temperatures to again hit the 40s, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Atlanta reached the expected high of 60 degrees by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Channel 2 reported.

Atlanta will dip into the 50s before reaching 42 by Wednesday morning. The North Georgia mountains should expect near-freezing temps.

The average high for this time of year is 64. Temps are expected to fall short of that again Wednesday when the projected high is 61.

But pleasant weather is on the way.

Temperatures could get close to 70 degrees before the week is over, Channel 2 reported.

By Thursday, Atlanta is expected to reach the mid-60s, and LaGrange and Eatonton could hit a high of 69 degrees, according to Channel 2.
