Atlanta weather | Rain tonight, then cold, cold, cold

Jan 9, 2016

Rain is expected to move into metro Atlanta and north Georgia late Saturday night, bringing with it a cold front that’s expected to usher in several days of sub-freezing lows.

Clouds and occasional drizzles are forecast to loom throughout Saturday, with “heavier pockets of rain” arriving after dark, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

“If you’re headed out and about on your Saturday night, you’ll want to bring your wet weather gear with you,” Monahan said.

Rain is not expected Sunday, but a high of just 46 and wind chills in the 30s are.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will bring highs of 45, 48 and 44 — and lows of 26, 28 and 26, respectively.
