Atlanta opens additional warming center as first fills up

The city of Atlanta said it would open an additional emergency warming center Sunday as temperatures struggled to rise above the 30s.
The city announced it would open the Central Park Recreation Center at 4 p.m. after the Old Adamsville center reached capacity.
It's been an unusually cold January for Atlanta. The cold is especially dangerous to the city's homeless population.
About halfway through the month, if January ended today it would be the 13th coldest on record in Atlanta! Ahh, but we have 2 weeks to go and the pattern turns mild starting next weekend. @wsbtv pic.twitter.com/Oqfe665c3L
