Severe thunderstorm warnings expire; rain continues

The rain isn’t going anywhere this week and Wednesday is expected to be wet, meteorologists say.

But the morning should stay dry with temperatures in the low 70s, Channel 2 Action News Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

“We’re going to be in pretty good shape” for the early commute, Burns said.

By lunch, about noon, tropical heat and storms in the North Georgia mountains will appear as rain chances and humidity increase.

The high Wednesday is 90 degrees, Burns said.
