United Airlines discounts round-trip airfare rates to the Hawaiian island of Maui or to Honolulu, Oahu on trips through May, 2012.
Here's the deal: A round-trip rate of $540 is valid seven days a week, based on availability (inclusive ticket price is $582.20). Give at least a 7-day advance notice of travel.
Depart now through Nov. 18; Dec. 1-14; Jan. 1-March 8 or April 16-May 31. Plan to stay at two to 30 days.
United throws in a bonus of permitting two stopovers to and from Hawaii. Each stopover in Chicago or Denver cost an additional $56 per stop.
Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.
I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel Web sites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc.
Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer does not have a "ticket-by" date or when the offer is deemed "sold out."
