Fall brings Orlando deals

Find a way to slip away for a weekend during autumn to take advantage of super deals in Orlando.

Bookit.com is advertising a nightly rate of $58 to stay at the Regal Sun Resort, an official Walt Disney World Hotel, located across the street from Downtown Disney.

Stays include free breakfast for children (with a paying adult), including character breakfasts offered three times a week ($32 value for two kids). Other perks include free shuttle service to the theme parks, guaranteed tee times at Disney's championship golf courses and guaranteed park entrance, even if a park is sold out for the day.

A resort fee of $8 is extra (regularly $15) and includes parking, WiFi and use of the fitness center.

This offer is valid on stays through Oct. 7. Book by Aug. 31.



Through midnight, tonight (8/27), AirTran is running a systemwide sale. One-way rates to Orlando start from $59 on trips finished on or before Oct. 13.

This rate is valid Monday-Thursday and Saturday with slightly higher rates for travel on Friday and Sunday. Give at least a one-week advance notice of travel.

Add $20 for additional taxes, fees.
