The corporate office at airBaltic wants you to know they are really sorry.

After having to delay a flight due to most of the crew being intoxicated, airBaltic’s public relations team swung into high gear.

Not only did airBaltic issue a press release, a company representative apologized in a video posted on the airline's YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Flight BT7843 from Oslo, Norway, to Chania, Greece, was delayed by almost five hours after most of the crew was removed from the flight. Four of the five flight crew members were suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. They have been suspended pending an investigation.

But it’s airBaltic’s reaction to the incident that has gone viral. In an age where transparency is often lacking, the company’s openness and sincerity are a refreshing surprise to many travelers.
