With just a few clicks, you can now schedule a meeting at Starbucks or say "thank you" with a gift card at the coffee chain.
Microsoft on Wednesday released its Starbucks add-in for Outlook 2013 and 2016. The plugin allows users to set up meetings at any of Starbucks' locations through Outlook. Users can also buy and sell gift cards for Starbucks through the mail application.
"Being successful at business is all about building strong relationships and personal connections," Microsoft wrote in a blog post announcing the feature. "Often, these personal connections are made face-to-face in an informal, friendly environment, over a cup of coffee."
The add-in is available for free on Microsoft's website and aimed at supporting stronger business relationships.
"In this fast paced, hyper-connected world, where meetings are often conducted remotely or in a formal office setting, we sometimes lose a personal connection which is so important in building a great business relationship," Microsoft wrote. "Outlook now makes it easier for you to have that personal connection by enabling you to meet your customers, business partners or study group at your favorite Starbucks location, all with a few clicks from your Outlook inbox."
The tech company first announced it was working on a Starbucks plugin during its Build development conference in March, according to Engadget.
The add-in is not yet available for Mac users or Outlook Mobile, although Microsoft said it is working to get the add-in on both platforms in the coming months.
