Levi's, J.Crew and L.L. Bean are among the 5 major clothing brands looking to expand pocket size on their jeans and pants to better accommodate the larger Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Designers are particularly eyeing women's clothes, since women's pockets are considerably smaller and shallower than men's pockets.
“Currently our men’s pockets already accommodate the larger phones including the iPhone 6 [and 6 plus]. Women’s is still being evaluated,” an American Eagle representative confirmed to Mashable on Tuesday.
While some labels are just beginning to brainstorm, Lee Jeans designer Whitney Neary admits that the company began discussions of enlarging pocket sizes before the iPhone 6's September release. (NY Post)
