Why do you run the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race? I’m a jogger/ walker. I enjoy the Fourth of July tradition. This is my third Peachtree Road Race. I enjoy the excitement of doing the race with 59,000 of my closet friends.

When and why did you start running? Three years ago, to do my first Peachtree Road Race. I was very shocked when I was selected to do my first Peachtree Road Race. I love it.

Tell us about your first AJC Peachtree Road Race: It was three years ago. I wore a tank top with a sign on the back: “This is my first PRR.” So many people during the race congratulated me. I ran into Clark Howard along the race. How cool was that?

How many AJC Peachtree Road Races have you run? Two.

What story do you tell friends or family who ask about running the AJC Peachtree Road Race? They should do it, it’s fun. The race is not just for runners. It’s for joggers and walkers too. Race is for everyone.

What’s a tradition you observe at the AJC Peachtree Road Race? Wearing red, white and blue attire. Saluting the big USA flag that is at the start of the race.

What’s your favorite race t-shirt? I have two. Last year’s was my favorite one.

Do you run alone or run in a pack? Alone.

What do you like about the AJC Peachtree Road Race? Everything.

What would you like to see changed with the AJC Peachtree Road Race? Last, year I joined the Atlanta Track Club. I hope I get put up in an earlier start time. I’ve been put in the same one the last two years. I love the Peachtree Road Race.
