The website www.lids.com may have prematurely released Atlanta United’s away jersey on Friday.

The Adidas-designed jersey, which features a white background with either gray or off-white horizontal stripes, and three red stripes down each side, was posted Friday. The crest is red and white and over the heart, and the team’s primary sponsor, American Family Insurance, is scripted in red. The image has since been taken down.

The website www.footyheadlines.com reported that the shirts and socks worn with with away kit will be gray with red stripes.

The team declined to comment on the away jersey on Friday.

Atlanta United unveiled its home kit on Tuesday at a party attended by more than 2,000 people at The Tabernacle. The team will begin play in Major League Soccer in 2017. During the interviews about that jersey release, team president Darren Eales said the away kit would be released in February. The home jersey can be purchased at the team's store in Atlantic Station or on www.atlutd.com. The team declined on Friday to release sales totals since the unveiling.
