Josef Martinez was voted the MLS Player of the Week after the Atlanta United striker scored twice in a win over NYCFC on Sunday.

In the 2-1 win, Martinez set a league record with a goal in 10 consecutive matches. He has 15 goals in the 10-game span and 20 for the season, second most in the league. Martinez scored first on a header from a Julian Gressel cross. He later converted a penalty kick after Pity Martinez was fouled.
